Scott Gibree, Founder

Playing the match game as a kid was one of Scott’s go-to games. Flipping a card, looking for, and finding the match, and then repeating the process. Focused on finding a match, he turned that into a career in staffing and brand building.

Fast forward a few decades, Scott founded Emerging Blue after a career working for brands such as, Gap, Anthropologie, bebe, and working with national creative staffing agencies. The belief that building successful brands stems from creating the perfect team, and focusing on the brand vision and voice of each client.

Scott takes his brand experience in the fashion and home décor industries to build strategic teams, for Emerging Blue and it’s clients.

Building a career around a simple match game has been a happy accomplishment. Luckily it turned out the way it did since a career making mud-pies wouldn’t be nearly as fun. :)

Christina Jones - Emerging Blue - VP

Christina Jones, Vice President

Christina has close to 20 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development in the fashion industry.  She spent many years in corporate recruiting at Under Armour and since has supported our fashion clients such as Vans, The North Face, Free Fly Apparel, KREWE, Mizzen+Main, and SCOUT Bags.

Christina’s expertise includes talent strategy and process, employer branding, executive hiring and spearheading our EB 360 program. Her commitment to herself, our team and her clients is to be honest, hard-working, adaptable, and fun.

Christina loves to start mornings with coffee and her Peloton bike – helping her remember that every day is a new day to wake-up and get it done!

Karen Cichocki - Emerging Blue - Fashion Home Beauty Recruiting - Staffing - Hiring - Director

Karen Cichocki, Recruiting Account Director

Karen has over 10 years’ experience in business development and marketing, having worked in real estate, television, and advertising before coming to EB. She loves meeting new people, building strong relationships with her clients, and enjoys getting to pitch in on the recruiting side occasionally. Always excited to learn about new roles and new industries, she thrives on getting to know brands and the passion and story behind each of them.

Married with 2 sassy, adorable daughters, she lives in San Diego and is an avid reader, averaging 1-2 books per week. She also loves pilates, skiing, cooking, going to the beach, and traveling as much as possible.

Alonya Van Rooyen, Fashion

Recruiting Director

From Cape Town, South Africa originally, Alonya has over 15 years of experience in fashion, accessories, footwear, and textiles. She has worked in various design and product development roles globally, including South Africa, Europe, and the US, giving her an international perspective on the industries.

 Her understanding of the product creation process from concept through to delivery, helps her to source the best talent needed to execute and drive productivity for our clients. Her experience spans corporate and small businesses, having worked with brands like Levi’s, Jeep, Ellesse, Havianas, Roxy, Quicksilver, and Haddad as well as owning her own accessory and apparel line. She is passionate about people and the fashion industry alike and enjoys marrying these two loves in her role at Emerging Blue. The excitement of finding a match never dulls.

 Alonya lives in the SF Bay Area with her family and two boxers. She loves to spend time outdoors, hiking or biking the hills that surround her home or with friends at home hosting a south African braai.

Pooja Sachan - Emerging Blue - Fashion Recruiting - Hiring

Pooja Sachan, Fashion Recruiting Director

Pooja is passionate about providing meaningful solutions and experiences to brands and audiences.

Her 15 years’ experience in the design industry has matured her technical skills, but on a personal level, having great opportunities to live and work in different cultures around the world, collaboration with a diverse range of clients and varied industries has provided an immense amount of knowledge.

Originally from India, and now settled in the pacific northwest, her passion is reflected in her previous entrepreneurial roles, and her current role as a fashion recruiter is like a match made in heaven. This enables her to utilize her skills into helping and guiding people to follow their passion, find their path, and lead to them their ultimate goals. 

Today she speaks not only as a recruiter but as a strong woman with diverse life experiences ranging from extremely difficult to amazingly joyous.  She is an environmentalist, a global citizen having lived in many countries, a mother who wants her children to live in a better world, and a creator who believes in building great teams and relationships, to ensure everyone finds the right path.

Nicole’s background lies heavily in eCommerce and recruiting in various industries over the last five years. Throughout her years, she has always been drawn back to recruiting because of her natural ability to connect with others.  

Nicole feels that there is something so special about recruiting because you are helping individuals navigate a very important part of their life. Finding the match that makes sense for both the hiring manager and the candidate is immensely rewarding and what motivates her to continue building strong connections.  

Nicole was born and raised in Ohio and a graduate of Ohio State. Soon to be a North Carolina resident, she is always looking for the next adventure and loves to travel any chance she gets.

Britt has over 8 years of retail management experience. People are her passion and she has invested her time and focus on finding, developing, and supporting those in the fashion retail arena.  

As retail is an ever evolving business industry, Britt enjoys the challenge of finding strong candidates to lead, grow, and shift with the demands of retail across all Channels. The most rewarding part about what she has done over the years is the connections she has made with extremely talented individuals and how she has played a small part in their career goal achievements.  

Britt grew up in Seattle Washington, attended Flagler college in Saint Augustine, FL where she received a BA in Business Administration, and has spent the last several years enjoying sunny San Diego, CA.  In her downtime, Britt enjoys exploring San Diego museums, spending an evening at a San Diego theater production, and visiting the San Diego zoo with her husband and son.

Account Director

Madison’s background stems from years of recruiting for fashion and apparel brands throughout the US. Graduating from North Carolina State University provided Madison with the opportunity to grow her knowledge of the fashion and textile industry. 

Madison’s joy in recruiting comes from meeting new people and matching them with the next step in their career path. Currently residing in Charleston, she spends her time with friends, family and her corgi, Rory. Madison also enjoys yoga, finding the best, new restaurants and traveling.

Jaime Roahen, Recruiting Account Director

Jaime’s first job was working at her grandfather’s luggage shop where she learned the importance of listening to her customer’s needs and making the best recommendations based on what she had heard. That skill set has carried through Jaime’s career and she has always prided herself in focusing on solutions that would help her broad network & connections succeed. 

With 15+ years of business experience with national brands & retailers, including TJX Corp, New Balance & Under Armour, she knows how important it is to find the right fit for the right role. Jaime’s business expertise spans from analytics, planning, account management & merchandising and has partnered with most major retailers across the US.  

Jaime has spent the last few years creeping down the east coast, from Boston now to Wilmington, NC. She resides in the historic district with her husband, two children, and 100lb “puppy”. In her spare time, you will find her testing out the latest restaurants, exploring town on foot, or hitting up a pilates class.

Maggie Harrill,

Digital Outreach Manager

Maggie is passionate about brand management, creative & digital marketing, and business development. A graduate of the Wilson College of Textiles at North Carolina State University, Maggie has always been passionate about supporting the growth of brands within the textile, apparel, and home fashion industries.

Maggie is a people-person by nature and loves building authentic relationships in both her personal and professional life. A Greensboro, NC native, now living in Charleston, SC, Maggie is always on the hunt for live music, new restaurants, and travel destinations. Maggie enjoys working closely with local brands as well as spending days on the water with her friends and family.

Elizabeth Coleman, Associate Recruiter

Elizabeth is a graduate of North Carolina State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and minor in psychology.

Elizabeth loves working with people and is passionate about brand management and creative marketing, specifically in the fashion, home and beauty industry.
Elizabeth was born and raised in North Carolina and currently resides in Raleigh, NC. She loves traveling internationally and exploring the beautiful mountains and coast when she returns to her home state. Elizabeth’s favorite things in life are spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling, spending time at the beach, running, and listening to music.

Madeline Miller, Associate Recruiter

Madeline, originally from Illinois and currently residing in Colorado Springs, has a background in retail and e-commerce management. A graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, she possesses a deep understanding of human behavior and a love for interacting with people. Madeline's experience in retail and her interest in the fashion industry have fueled her passion for brand management and the digital spaces that shape the industry.
In Madeline’s free time, she enjoys trying local coffee shops, and participating in Pilates classes, as well as attending concerts and exploring new restaurants. Madeline strives to surround herself with loved ones, including her family, friends, and her dogs.

Thomas Finocchiaro, Associate Recruiter

Thomas is a graduate from Penn State University where he earned a BA in Telecommunications with a concentration in Talent Acquisition, HR, and Sales. Thomas has a passion for working with people, fostering relationships with clients, and helping businesses grow. Thomas's experiences in adverting technology, digital marketing, & e-commerce management have matured his technical skills, and have turned him into the recruiting expert that he is today! 

Thomas loves recruiting because of how rewarding the process is. Helping talented individuals achieve their career goals puts a smile on his face, as well as making connections that can last a lifetime! Although originally born on Long Island, Thomas considers himself a San Diego local! His passions include playing sports, paddleboarding, and exploring the California coastline. You can always find Thomas sunset swimming at the beach, taking in all that life has to offer!  

Samantha Goffredi, Sourcing Specialist

Samantha attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising, complemented by a minor in Graphic Design. 

Samantha brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to the table, with a background in retail and product design recruitment. She actively immerses herself in sourcing inspiration from the most unexpected corners of the digital world. She's passionate about bridging the gaps between brands, design, and people.  

Based in the heart of North Carolina, she enjoys museum exhibits, local farmer's markets, and spending time at the park with her family.

Peyton Fultz, Sourcing Specialist

As a Texas native and graduate of the University Of North Texas, Peyton earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, and Communications. 

With over 6 years in retail, customer service, and fashion merchandising, Peyton specialized in hiring and retail recruitment. She enjoys owning and scaling all hiring efforts at the store level. With Emerging Blue, Peyton is now furthering her love for working with others and furthering her passion in brand-consumer connection of the fashion, home, and beauty industries. 

In her free time, Peyton considers herself an occasional yoga enthusiast who enjoys hiking and getting outdoors, finding the best local coffee shops, as well as concerts and all things music.
