Summary:  The overall role of Communications and Marketing within the company is to support the organization through public relations, publications, social media, branding and marketing activities.
The Communications and Marketing Director is a key member of the company’s leadership team. Reporting to the Managing Director, this position is responsible for ensuring that all marketing activities and communication on behalf of the organization is consistent, on-brand and meets the needs of our members and volunteer leaders around the globe.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Guide internal team members to execute all communication, public relations and marketing activities, including the editorial review process.

• Lead Publications team to develop  monthly magazine and Leader Letter newsletter and other communications, leveraging content that meets the members’ needs and supports the organization’s core brand identity.

• Lead branding efforts to ensure that brand standards are met consistently throughout the organization.

• Work with the Marketing team to develop and implement tactics that promote club and member growth, and support the mission of the organization.

• Lead team to consistently deliver materials and messaging that are consistent with the organization and on-brand at all times.  • Develop and manage the Communications and Marketing division budget.

• Oversee the Public Relations function and ensure that activities meet the strategic needs of the organization by providing input and feedback on the yearly calendar, guidance on media targets and direction on content.

• Provide direction and support that enables the Graphic Design department to product high-quality work that promotes a professional visual identity.
• Oversee research activities to ensure that the organization has the information it needs to make fact-based decisions that positively impact the member base.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Minimum of ten years of professional experience in a communications or marketing leadership role.

• Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.

• Strong project management and team-building skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities.

• Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple project simultaneously with various teams.
